President and Chairman of the board

Mr. Labroukos holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. He also holds an MBA degree from Manchester Business School and a Ph.D. from London Business School. He has been Research Fellow at London Business School and Visiting Assistant Professor at Athens University of Economics and Business. He has authored a series of articles in refereed management journals.

Mr. Labroukos specialises in project management, strategic and business planning, internal systems and processes design, organisational restructuring and redesign, human resources management and investment appraisal.

Mr. Labroukos has been a member of the Boards of Directors of INTRAKAT since 2001, of INTRACOM HOLDINGS since February 2006, of INTRACOM IT SERVICES since May 2006, and of INTRACOM TELECOM since July 2006. In July 2006 he was also appointed Deputy CEO of INTRACOM IT SERVICES.


Vice President and Board member

Michael Birbas is the Vice President and Board Member and also the R&D manager for Analogies S.A. which he co-founded in 2006. From 2002-2006, he was a member of the Applied Electronics Laboratory (APEL) team, University of Patras, where he was involved in the fields of efficient mixed (analog/digital) integrated circuit (IC) and in very large scale integration (VLSI) implementations of soft iterative decoding algorithms with emphasis on turbo-like codes.

From 1992 to 1999, he was the Research and Development Manager of Synergy Systems, an electronics-related company that he co-founded. From 1999 to 2002, he was a Research and Development Manager with GIGA Hellas S.A-an Intel company (part of the Optical Products Group), where he was involved with the design and development of 10-40-Gbit/s system solution demonstrators for synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH)/synchronous optical network (SONET) and optical transport network (OTN) applications and of 40-Gbit/s Ser/Des components.

Michael Birbas was born in Patras, Greece. He received his Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Computer technology and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Patras, Patras, Greece, in 1985 and 1991 respectively 


Board member

John Kikidis has more than 20 years of business experience in the electronics, semiconductor and software industry ranging from small startups and mid sized companies to multinational corporations. He has been involved in the silicon electronics for the optical communications and networking industry for the last 7 years.

John Kikidis co-founded Analogies in 2006, a new University of Patras start up created by a University professor, research assistants and PhD graduates who developed a design methodology that allows very high speed analog design on standard type processes. He became CEO for Analogies start of 2007 and served as such until mid 2013.

From Mar 2000 until Oct 2006 he worked for Intel Corporation in a number of management, marketing and engineering roles, with the latest being Strategic Marketing Manager in Optical-Networking Components Division, Communications Infrastructure Group. From mid 1999 through 2000 he was Business Development Manager for GiGA Hellas S.A., the GiGA A/S subsidiary company that was acquired by Intel in March 2000. From 1992 through mid 1999, he served as Head of Telematics and Information Systems Division and then Business Development Manager for Synergy Systems SA. Through those roles he has also been involved in a number of industry standards bodies, namely ITU, OIF and IEEE.

John Kikidis got his Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Telecommunications and Electronics Division, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras, Greece, in 1990. He is the author of one patent and a number of invited or refereed publications. He was born in Drama Greece.


Board member

Alexis Birbas is currently a Professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology at the University of Patras in Greece. He has held visiting faculty positions with the Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Minnesota at Minneapolis-St. Paul and with the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG), Grenoble, France. He has supervised over ten doctoral students.

Alexis Birbas has held managerial and consulting positions for various companies and institutions in the electronics industry. He has authored or coauthored over 50 refereed journal and conference papers. His research interests include electron device modeling, device noise analysis, analog and mixed-signal integrated-circuit (IC) design, and nanoelectronics.

Alexis Birbas was born in Patras, Greece. He received his Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Computer Technology from University of Patras, Patras, Greece, in 1985, and his M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Minnesota at Minneapolis-St. Paul, in 1996 and 1998, respectively.
